My interest in printmaking began during the COVID pandemic while taking a series of virtual courses in mono-printing with Adria Arch. Being stripped of everyday interruptions while staying at home gave me a sense of creative liberation. I began a visual journal, using my phone camera on neighborhood walks and printed with my gel plate everyday. Familiar shapes and textures emerged, tying my photos to my printmaking. This process was one of the happiest and most unexpected outcomes of the year.
